Derby County are eyeing a transfer for Jaydon Banel after the winger's impressive performance at Pride Park. Banel joined Derby on loan from Burnley in January and scored three goals in 14 games, including two memorable strikes against Oxford and QPR. Burnley's director of football, Paul Jenkins, says Banel remains part of their plans for next season. "Jaydon is definitely part of our plans for next season, without a doubt," Jenkins said. "He's had a really good experience at Derby, getting game time, minutes and the icing on the cake was that he scored three goals. Two of which were really fantastic individual goals, so he's come back in great shape." Derby are looking to bolster their wide areas this summer as a priority after Banel and Ben Brereton Diaz returned to their parent clubs. A move for Brereton Diaz at Southampton is still on the table, with the Chile international having bought a house in the county. He has one year remaining left on his contract, but according to reports in South America, West Brom and Sheffield United are also said to retain an interest. Derby were yesterday linked with Eli Adams of the Newcastle Jets, with the 24-year-old winger set to leave the Australian A-League club. Derby are one of seven clubs that are challenging for his signature, a list that includes RB Salzburg and FC Copenhagen.
