Derby County manager John Eustace has stated there is "no pressure" on the Rams as they head into their final Championship game with a chance to secure a play-off spot. Eustace compares the current high-stakes scenario to last season's battle for survival, emphasizing a consistent fighting mentality within the club.

The eighth-placed Rams face Sheffield United at Pride Park on Saturday, needing a victory to keep their promotion hopes alive. For Derby County to leap into the top six, both Wrexham and Hull City, currently above them in the league table, must drop points in their respective fixtures.

When asked by BBC Radio Derby about the difference in mentality between fighting for promotion and fighting for salvation, John Eustace asserted it's "the same." He highlighted the "small miracle" of avoiding relegation last season, overcoming a seven-point deficit with 11 games remaining.

Eustace attributed last season's success to "fight, togetherness and spirit," qualities he insists have been present throughout the current campaign. He expects the same resolve from his Derby County squad as they approach the decisive final match.

Reinforcing the club's ethos, Eustace quoted Derby County's motto: "we fight to the end." He confidently added, "and we have certainly done that," underscoring the team's consistent determination in challenging circumstances.

This season marks a significant turnaround for Derby County, moving from a relegation scrap to contending for a Premier League promotion shot within twelve months. The upcoming match against Sheffield United is pivotal for their ambitions.
